Larry Duane Klein , age 78 of Grand Forks, ND, died on Monday, January 12, 2026 at his home.

Larry was born on December 22, 1947, to Bennie and Dorothy Klein in Valley City, ND. The family moved to Grand Forks where Larry finished high school. Larry worked as a custodian at the University of North Dakota for nearly 40 years before retiring. He enjoyed his work and the people he met at UND.

He enjoyed bowling, playing cards, fishing, shopping, having coffee with friends, going to movies, watching old westerns, and riding his bike around Grand Forks. Larry loved 50s and 60s music and enjoyed finding rare artists or songs. Larry had a kind heart and loved to laugh. Larry loved cheering on UND athletic teams and watching the Minnesota Twins.

Larry is survived by his siblings: Terry (Cris) Klein, Grand Forks; Geraldine Klein, Grand Forks; Leroy Klein, Minot; Karen Johns, Lakeview, MN; sister-in-law Rose Klein, Jamestown; and many nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2026 in the Historic Norman Funeral Home Chapel.
A Luncheon: Will be served in the community room of the funeral home following the service.
