Lawrence Thomas Miller , age 73, of Grand Forks, North Dakota, passed away at home on April 22, 2026. He was born on August 30, 1952, in Grand Forks to Lawrence and Jeanette Miller.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his only sister Deanna Miller, and his niece Audra Miller.

He is survived by his children: Jodi Miller (oldest), Mike Miller, Ashley Miller (David James), and Tiffany Miller (youngest); and his grandchildren: Zachary Lawdermilt, Brittney Miller, Carson Miller, Logan Miller, Cash Miller, Joshawa James, Zackery James, Noah James, Makayla James, Jaedynn Clancy, and Samuel Clancy, along with many other relatives and friends who meant so much to him.

He truly loved what he did for many years, especially rolling and paving blacktop. He would always say, "Going to pave America," and he meant it with pride. In his semi-retired years, Dad continued working with Miller Motivations, where he took great pride in working alongside his son Mike and watching the business grow. Whether it was snow removal or concrete work, he never slowed down and always gave it his all.

One of Dad's greatest joys was gardening. When we were kids, some of our best memories were going out to the garden and picking vegetables with him. He also loved planting flowers of all colors—it brought him so much joy. He enjoyed collecting antiques, setting up bird baths to take care of his birds, and singing along to good old country and rock and roll. He was always jamming out and having a good time.

Dad had a heart of gold. He was kind, never judged anyone, and could make you laugh until your cheeks hurt. He loved joking around and making people smile. He was truly one of a kind, and our hearts are broken to lose him so unexpectedly.

God saw our dad getting tired, and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around him and whispered, "Come with me." With tearful eyes, we watched him suffer and saw him fade away, even though he was still in good spirits, still smiling and joking. Although we loved him dearly, we could not make him stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands were laid to rest. Though our hearts are deeply broken, we find comfort knowing his love, strength, and memory will stay with us forever.

We love you, Dad. Always and forever.

Memorial Liturgy: 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, 2026 in the Norman Funeral Home Chapel, Grand Forks, ND.
Visitation: One hour prior to the Memorial Liturgy in the funeral home on Tuesday.
Interment: At a later date.
