Leodegario "Leo" Ruiz Segovia Jr. age 74 of Moorhead, MN died August 23 ^rd , 2020 surrounded by family.

Leo was born December 28, 1945 in Grand Forks, ND. He was the son of Leo and Carmen Segovia. Leo graduated from East Grand Forks Senior High in 1964 and graduated from Aaker's Business College in Grand Forks with a degree in Business Administration and Junior Accountancy before enlisting with the United States Army in 1967. He honorably served his country during the Vietnam War for 4 years. After his military service he lived in Indianapolis, to be close to his two sisters and their families. He worked in the Federal Government (CEO) as an Accountant, before moving back to Minneapolis, MN. In Minneapolis he worked for General Mills for 8 years as a Technical Services Computer Manager until he later took a job at Unisys Corporation as a Technical Services Programmer. While there, he attended Concordia University and obtained a degree in Organizational Management & Communication. Leo and his family moved to Duluth, MN where he attended the University of Minnesota and received a degree in Education. When Leo and his family moved to Lubbock, TX, he taught Computer Software at a Community college.  Leo enjoyed coaching his sons in various sports, and fishing, camping, traveling the country, and watching the Vikings.  After moving to Moorhead, MN he substitute taught part-time until his retirement. Once he retired, because of health reasons, he loved to spend all his time with his grandchildren Chloe, Emma, and Mason.

He is survived by his sons, Paul Segovia and wife Julia; Mark Segovia and wife Maddie; brothers, Moises (Lois) Segovia, David (Phyllis) Segovia, sisters, Gloria Chavez, Hortencia Jaimes, Caretina (Ray) Romero, Angelina Segovia, Kathy Wood, Helen (Jeff) Manz, Lucy Segovia; and grandchildren, Chloe, Emma and Mason Segovia.

He was preceded in death by his parents and younger brother, Cristobal "Chris" Segovia.

Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 31, 2020 in St. Michael's Catholic Church, Grand Forks, ND.
Visitation: One hour prior to the liturgy on Monday.
Interment: Nisbet Cemetery, Mallory, MN.
Military Honors: Accorded by members of the American Legion Post 157, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3817 and the North Dakota Army National Guard.
