Linda M. (Lund) Fuller , 72, of Grand Forks, ND passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021, in Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.

Linda was born September 4, 1949 in Aberdeen, South Dakota and was the eldest child of Fredrick, and Daisy (Warnke) Schrum. The Schrum family moved to Grafton in 1958, where Linda graduated from high school in 1967. After graduation she moved to Grand Forks where she met her future husband. On Feb 14th, 1968, Linda married Melvin (Mort) Lund in Minneapolis, MN and shortly after the birth of their first child Monty, they relocated to Houston TX in 1969.

Linda and her family returned to Grand Forks in 1971 and she worked at UND until the birth of their second child, Nichole.  Linda, Mort and the children returned to Houston in 1982, and Linda worked at Houston Testing as the Office Manager until the families final return to the Grand Forks area a few years later.

After the unexpected death of Mort in 1991, Linda found her true calling as a Paraprofessional in Special Education with the Grand Forks school district and truly loved working with the students and facility. During the course of her employment, Linda was hand chosen to attend specialized training in the Boston area and took special pride in that recognition by the school district.

During this same period of time, Linda worked at the local American Legion to help fill the evening hours and found joy in meeting and serving the wonderful Vets. She was a member of the women's auxiliary here.  It was there that she met her second husband, Gordon (Gordie) Fuller. Linda and Gordie were married in 2003.  Sadly, Linda was hit by a car while in a pedestrian walk on the last day of school in 2005 and sustained injuries that kept her hospitalized for approx. 18 months and tragically ended her ability to care for her students and she medically retired.

Linda found great joy in her children, grandchildren, reading, fishing, traveling, going to the lake and her love of flowers.

Linda is survived by her children: son; Monty (Sue Ann) Lund of Grand Forks, daughter; Nichole (Mark) Syverson of Grand Forks. Grandchildren; Sydney, Meghan, Nicholas, Skyler, Tanner and Emma. Siblings: brother; Albert Schrum, Park River, ND, sister; Deborah James, Lees Summit, MO.

She was preceded in death by a husband, her parents, and siblings, Mary, Paul, David, Shirley, Michael, and Laurie.

Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 27, 2021, in the Historic Norman Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation :  One hour prior to the service in the funeral home on Wednesday.
Burial: Nisbet Cemetery, rural Mallory, MN.
