Loretta C. Miller, 95, of Grand Forks, ND passed away Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Tufte Manor in Grand Forks.

Loretta Catherine Zon was born on August 8, 1928, in Oakwood, ND the daughter of John and Bertha (Knapkewiz) Zon.  She was raised in Minto, ND and graduated from Minto High School. Loretta met the love of her life, Joseph "Joe" R. Miller, at a dance at the Minto, ND, pavilion. Loretta and Joseph were married November 6, 1947, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Minto.  They resided in Grand Forks and Loretta was employed with J.C. Penny's, Pred's Clothing, JoAnn Fabrics, Vold Drug Store and Stern's Clothing.

Loretta enjoyed working in her yard and flower garden.  She loved gardening with her husband, occasionally disagreeing on who got the most space in the garden. Loretta planted the flowers and Joe grew the veggies. She was an avid BINGO player.  Loretta was a long time and active member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Grand Forks.  Joseph preceded her in death on September 15, 2016.

Loretta is survived by her five children, Robert (Claudia) Miller, Fresno, CA, Rick (Rose) Miller, Grafton, ND, Jeff (Ranee Steffan) Miller, Grand Forks, ND, Mary Rhoads, East Vale, CA, Sharon (Jim) Delling, Fargo, ND; a brother, Al Zon; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph, her siblings; a granddaughter, Meghan Miller and son-in-law, Dennis Rhoads.

Funeral Liturgy: 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 10, 2023, in the Historic Norman Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation: One hour prior to the liturgy in the funeral home on Friday.
Burial: Calvary North Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
