Luis Carlos Valles, age 21 of Grand Forks, Died at home on Friday, February 25, 2022.

Luis Carlos Valles, a son of Delane and Ruth (Valles) Albers, was born on June 16, 2000 at CD Juarez, Mexico. At a young age he moved with his family to Canada for a time. They then moved to New Mexico where he attended school. Luis moved with his family to Japan for a time, they returned to the United States settling in New Jersey. Later he moved to Wisconsin then to South Dakota. While in South Dakota he entered the US Air Force and was stationed at Grand Forks Air Force Base, where he met his future wife. On January 8, 2021 he was married to Mackenzie Weichman in Grand Forks.

Luis was a very creative and talented individual. He had a love for music. Luis had learned how to play the guitar, piano, violin, and drums. He was in the process of teaching himself how to play the bass guitar and the accordion before his passing. Luis was also gifted with the knowledge of several languages, French, Japanese, Spanish and English. He attended International High School in Cd Juarez, Mexico and began learning Chinese. More recently, Luis was learning the Russian language. He loved drawing and Robotics. Luis had a kind heart and he cared for others. He loved to crack jokes and had a goofy personality. Most of all, he was a loving husband and son.

He is survived by his wife, Mackenzie Weichman, parents, Delane and Ruth Albers, his brother, Aaron Albers, and his dogs, Hugo, Dante, and Oscar. He is also survived by his Grandma Irma Duran, Aunt Cecilia Valles (his second mother), and two nephews Jorge and Alejandro Valles (cousin and second brothers in life).

Funeral: Wednesday March 2, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the Norman Funeral Home in Grand Forks, ND

Visitation: one hour before service time in the funeral home.
