Marty J. Dornheim, 56, of Grand Forks, ND passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at his home in Grand Forks.

Marty John Dornheim was born on July 13, 1966, in Grand Forks, ND the son of Duane and Marian (Van Camp) Dornheim.  He was raised in Grand Forks and graduated from high school in 1985.  Marty went on to attend the North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton, ND.  He moved to Temple, TX and was employed the Winnebago Corporation.  He returned to Grand Forks and was employed doing reconstruction work, following the flood of 1997.  Later, he was employed with RETRAX and P.S. Doors.

Marty enjoyed riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles, building model cars, and working crossword puzzles.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Marian and Dennis Kadlec, Grand Forks, ND; a son, Cory Shannon, Waco, TX; a sister, Pamela (James) Shawstad, Temple, TX; a brother, Timothy Dornheim, Grand Forks, ND; stepbrothers, Paul Kadlec, Chris Kadlec, Jerry Kadlec And Richard Kadlec all of Grand Forks, ND and his dog, Scooby.

He was preceded in death by his father, Duane Dornheim.

Memorial Liturgy: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 1, 2022, in the Historic Norman Funeral Home Chapel.
Family Greeting: One hour prior to the liturgy in the funeral home on Saturday.
Interment: At a later date in Calvary North Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
