Mary  Anne "Annie" Jordan

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mary  Anne "Annie" Jordan on June 27, 2026, at the age of 52. Annie was born on October 17, 1973, in Blue Island, Illinois, the daughter of Marguerite Jordan and the late Carmen "Hawkeye" Jordan.

Annie spent her life in Grand Forks, North Dakota, and left a mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. When you think of Annie, you think of her love for music…especially songs from the 70s and 80s, like her favorite band, ELO. She loved bowling strikes, collecting band t-shirts, watching movies like Popeye and Annie, trips to Budget Music to find new CDs, and, of course, a fridge full of Dr. Pepper.

If you ever had a chance to meet Annie, chances are she asked you, "What are you having for supper?" And if you weren't sure yet, she would definitely give you suggestions. Her favorites included pasta (especially mostacciolis), Big Macs, hot dogs, Dairy Queen dilly bars, orange Tic Tacs, and her signature three chocolate chip cookies. We all know she'll be eating great up in Heaven.

In addition to her father, Carmen, Annie was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Joanne Jordan; her nephews, Stanley Johnson III, Anthony Jordan, and Joseph Jordan Jr.; and her niece, Sabrina Jordan.

Annie is survived by her mother, Marguerite, of Grand Forks; her siblings, Mary Suzanne (Stanley) Johnson of Grand Forks; Carmen (Chris) Jordan of Oviedo, Florida; Mary Christine (John Jenniges) Parsons of East Grand Forks; Mary Elizabeth (John) Stempinski of Grand Forks; Mary Jane (Raymond) Lee of Grand Forks; Mary Ellen (Eric) Morrison of Grand Forks; Peter (Mary) Jordan of Detroit Lakes; Michael (Shelli) Jordan of Detroit Lakes; William (Bobbi) Jordan of Fargo; David (Joyce) Jordan of Sioux Falls; Mary Madeline (Eric) Thompson of East Grand Forks; Joseph (Jessica) Jordan of East Grand Forks; and Mary Marguerite (Daniel) Stark of Grand Forks. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

The family would like to recognize Ciara, one of Annie's favorite caregivers at Valley Senior Living, for the kindness, friendship, and compassion she showed Annie.

Annie loved everyone, and everyone loved Annie. Her smile, laughter, and kind heart will be deeply missed, but the memories she gave to so many will be treasured forever.

Celebration of Life: Thursday July 2, 2026 at 1:00  pm at the Havig-Heen Chapel at Valley 4000 in Grand Forks, ND.

Burial: Calvary North Cemetery in Grand Forks, ND
