Mary Ann (Sauvageau) Leddige , 73, of Reynolds, ND, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2020 surrounded by her family.

Mary was born on September 27, 1947 in Fargo, ND to Alpha and Evelyn (Johnk) Sauvageau. She was baptized and confirmed at Saint Benedict Catholic Church of Wild Rice, ND and was a longtime member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Reynolds, ND. Mary attended St. Joseph School at Saint Benedict till it closed after her junior year. She spent her senior year in Kindred, ND where she graduated in 1965. After graduation, Mary attended Interstate Business College in Fargo.

Mary was united in marriage to William Leddige on April 20, 1974, at St. Benedict Church of Wild Rice, ND. Their union was blessed with three sons. Mary was proud of her boys and their families. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, especially on trips to the Dairy Queen and the Beehive in Reynolds. Mary and Bill enjoyed vacations to Winnipeg, Medora and Duluth where she loved to watch the ships come in.

Mary was a kind and loving person to everyone she met. She was most known for showing this love through her baking, cooking, and canning. One of her specialties was canned pickles which she gifted to many. Mary worked at the Central Valley Public School for 12 years as a cook and had a home daycare for several years.

Mary volunteered her time and talents to the church. She could often be found at the KC's preparing food for upcoming events. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and traveling with her sister to visit various family members.

Mary is survived by three sons, Michael (Anna), Grand Forks, ND, Kevin (Angie), Reynolds, ND and William II (Amanda), Bismarck, ND; five grandchildren and one on the way due in February, Addyson, Brody, Benjamin, Easton, and Alex; a sister, Bonnie (Roger) Fritz, Fargo, ND; a brother, Terry (Kristie) Sauvageau, Horace, ND; special aunt, Pam Ulness, Fargo, ND; brothers-in-law John (Melinda) Leddige, Joseph (Bernadette) Leddige, Raymond (Judy) Leddige; sisters-in-law, Mary (Kenneth) Knutson, Shirley (Eugene) Schreiner, and Judy (David) Jahnke as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other family and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, William; her parents, Alpha and Evelyn Sauvageau; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Verdeen and Mildred Leddige and her grandparents.

Open Visitation: Monday, October 12 from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Reynolds, ND. Face coverings are required and social distancing will be observed.

Due to COVID concerns, a Private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 13. A live stream will be available at https://olphsj.org/ at 10:30am.

Burial: All are welcome on Tuesday, October 13 at 12:00 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery, Reynolds, ND. Face coverings are required and social distancing will be observed.
