Mary Ann Suedel , 95, of Grand Forks, ND passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Valley 4000-Woodside Village in Grand Forks.

Mary Ann Pachl was born on August 7, 1929, in Ardoch. ND the daughter of Henry and Anna (Banach) Pachl. She moved with her family to Grand Forks and graduated, at the age of 16, from Sacred Heart High School in East Grand Forks, MN.  Mary Ann married Leo Suedel and together they raised seven children.  She was employed with Sears, Eddy's Bakery, A/W Fabrics, Johnny's, Big Cigs, and for several years cleaned houses.

Mary Ann was a long-time member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Grand Forks.  She enjoyed dancing and playing Bingo. She was given tickets to see Willy Nelson at the North Dakota State Fair in Minot, ND and traveled to Winnipeg, MB to see Pope John Paul II and to Washington, D.C. to see the Veteran's Parade. Most of all, she loved visiting with her family and spending weekends and sleep overs with her granddaughter, Katie Kadlec. She traveled to Seattle, WA and Ogden, UT to visit her son, Jim Suedel.  Moreover, she cherished her dog, Lucy.

She is survived by her sons, Richard (Paulette) Suedel, Grand Forks, ND and Daniel (Starr) Suedel, Black Duck, MN; daughters, Deborah Kadlec, and Mary (Bill) Sullivan, all of Grand Forks, ND; grandchildren, Bryan, Jenni, Robin, Tammi, Paul, Chris, Rick, Jerry, Josh,  Jake, Lindy,  William, Katie, Adam, Amy, Lisa, Erin, Kim; great-grandchildren, Riley, Isaac, Brittani, Kaleb, Emily, Nylah, Grady, Jase, Katie, Austin, Cole, Jocelyn, Tenley, Keira, Berkley, Zoe, Presly, Mason, Riley, Jacob, Tyler, Courtney, Zach, Daniel, Anna Lynn, Trey; great-great-grandchildren, Everly, Nora, William, Colter and Denver.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Jim, Charlie, and Lee,  her former husband, Leo, her sons, Jim, Jerry, and Chris, and an infant son, Anthony, a granddaughter, Katie, an infant grandson, John Anthony, and a great-great-grandson, Wally and her dog, Lucy.

Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 30, 2025, in St. Michael's Catholic Church, Grand Forks, ND.
Visitation: One hour prior to the liturgy in the church on Monday.
Burial: Calvary North Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
