Michael Edward Humble, age 73 of Grand Forks, joined his father, mother and brother in heaven on February 14, 2022, with his family by his side.

Mike, son of Elroy and Ruth Humble, was born on August 17, 1948 in Saginaw, MI. At a young age he moved with his parents to Grand Forks where he was raised and educated. On March 26, 1969 he entered the US Army where he served 3 years including one year in Vietnam. He received an honorable discharge on January 6, 1972. In October 1974 he met the love of his life, Cindy Hendrickson and they were married on May 10, 1975 in Grand Forks.

His greatest joys in life were his family, fishing, football and Fighting Sioux hockey. Mike was a man of many words, especially joking and his sarcastic nature. People who knew him knew he was one of a kind. He will be deeply missed by many.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy; son Chad (Tami) Humble; daughters April Aker and Crystal (Mike) Coulter; his 7 grandchildren Cassidy (Matthew) Conley, Caden (Kourtney Sinjem) Aker, Alexander Gudajtes, Gracie Coulter, Rylie Coulter, McKinlee Humble and Lanie Coulter; 2 great-grandchildren, Abbie Conley and Luna Conley and a precious boy due in July; sisters and brothers, Susan Humble (sister in law), Bob (Barb) Humble, Jerry, (Mardell) Humble, Mark (Jane) Humble, Dennis (Cindy) Humble, Michelle (David) Crowe, Brad (Tami) Humble, and David (Sheila) Humble.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Larry and his dog Sadie.

Memorial service: Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Grand Forks, ND.

Visitation: one hour before service time
