Michael S. Stone, Jr. , 33, of Bismarck, ND passed away Saturday, October 10, 2020 at his home in Bismarck.

Michael Scott Stone was born June 24, 1987 in St. Paul, MN the son of Michael S. Stone, Sr. and Darlene Cavanaugh. He attended school in St. Paul until moving to Fort Totten, ND to live with his grandfather, Francis Brown. He attended Four Winds High School in Fort Totten and was employed with the Events Staff of Spirit Lake Casino. He moved to Grand Forks and was employed with Walmart and later as a technician with LM Wind Power. During this time, he met the love of his life, Erin Olson. Michael and Erin were united in marriage on August 24, 2013 at Lincoln Park in Grand Forks. Michael and Erin moved to Bismarck in 2020.

Michael loved fishing, bonfires with his family, watching his daughter, Olivia play hockey, playing video games with his son, Maziah, watching television with his daughter, Naveah and throwing the football with his children. He was an avid Washington Redskins and Minnesota Vikings football fan. He was a great Dad and very loving husband.

He survived by his wife, Erin; his children, Maziah Stone, Naveah Stone and Olivia Stone all of Bismarck, ND; his parents, Michael S. Stone, Sr. and Darlene Cavanaugh, both of East Grand Forks, MN; step-grandfather, Francis Brown, Devils Lake, ND; a brother, Jonathan Stone, East Grand Forks, MN; sisters, Summer Cavanaugh, New Brighton, MN, Michelle Cavanaugh, Grand Forks, ND, Holly Stone, Fargo, ND; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bradley and Julie Olson; brother-in-law, Patrick Olson, all of Grand Forks, ND; a goddaughter, London Stone; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins; his dogs, Zelda and Gibbs and his cats, Tiny, Poppy, Freja and Bagheera.

Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 17, 2020 in St. Michael's Catholic Church, Grand Forks, ND.
Visitation : One hour prior to the liturgy in the church on Saturday.
Burial: St. Jerome's Catholic Cemetery, Oberon, ND. Family and friends will meet at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at the old Walmart parking lot in Devils Lake, ND. Procession will continue to the cemetery.
