Patricia "Patty" A. Burton , 67, of East Grand Forks, MN passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND, with her family by her side.

Patricia Ann Stauss was born on November 4, 1955, in Grand Forks, ND, the daughter of Walter and Donna (Perrault) Stauss.  She lived her entire life in East Grand Forks and graduated from East Grand Forks Senior High School in 1974.  She held various jobs, but her all time love was driving school bus for the East Grand Forks School District. Everybody loved "Patty" the bus driver, a job which she held for 25 years.

Patty married Brian Burton on May 18, 1990, at First Lutheran Church in East Grand Forks. She loved fishing and camping.  Her favorite holiday was Halloween.  She loved to decorate the outside of her house for Halloween and one year her home was featured on the front page of the Exponent.   Family was very important to Patty.  She enjoyed doing craft projects with her family and making apple crisp with Brian, from their apple tree in the backyard.

She is survived by her husband, Brian, East Grand Forks, MN; her son, Casey Burton (Sami), Grand Forks, ND; her brothers, Wayne Stauss (Lori) and Joe Stauss (Shar); her sisters, Linda (Bill) Neuerburg, Marge Eider, Karen (Dennis) Schiller, Jan ((Lenny) Yanish; sisters-in-law, Brenda Vasek, Lori (Jeff) Westrem, Carrie (Jeff) Clemetson, Katie Stauss (Jim); many nieces and nephews and her grand dog,  Juno.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Donna Stauss; a brother, Mike Stauss; a nephew, Corey Eider;  brother-in-law, Gene Vasek; her in-laws, Dale and Sherry Burton and her beloved dog, Pepper.

Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 18, 2023, in First Lutheran Church 203 5th Avenue NW East Grand Forks, MN  56721.
Family Greeting: 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the church on Friday.
