Patricia "Pat" Evans, 61, of Grand Forks, ND passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 after a long illness, finally succumbing to radiation proctitis.
Patricia Lynn Evans was born on June 8, 1959 in Grand Forks, ND the daughter of Dr. Harold and Jacqueline (Ranck) Evans. She graduated from Red River High School in Grand Forks and went on to attend the University of North Dakota. Pat was employed at the gift shop, Unlimited Designs, for over 15 years. She moved to Illinois and Colorado and returned to Grand Forks in 2005. She was employed at the Hanky Panky Gift Shop and later with Plaza Jewelry (K and J Jewelry).
Pat loved all aspects of the retail business world. For over 30 years, she able to do the buying, managing and displays for the business. She sold everything from fine china, furniture, diamonds, t-shirts, aspirin, and chewing gum. The variety of customers she encountered made each day a pleasure. Pat especially enjoyed the years she spent working alongside her mother, Jacque, and her sister, Joanne Kobetsky.
Pat was a cat lover and filled her home with cat designs and items. Over the years, she amassed a large acquisition of these pieces. Her unique collection has been accepted by The American Museum of House Cats in Sylva, NC.
Pat has finished her nine lives. If interested, please, make contributions to the Circle of Friends Humane Society, Grand Forks, ND.She is survived by her sisters, Joanne (James) Kobetsky, Grand Forks, ND and Ceanne Evans, Spokane, WA; her brothers, Charles (Nancy) Evans, Grand Forks, ND and Kenneth Evans, Columbia Heights, MN; numerous nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Harold Evans and Jacqueline Evans.
