Patricia Ann Melland, age 83 of Grand Forks, ND died on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at her home.

Patricia Ann Melland, a daughter of Felix and Stephie (Byzewski) Perkerewicz, was born on September 18, 1941 at Minto, ND. She was reared in the area and attended the St. James Catholic School in Grand Forks. After her education she moved to Minneapolis, MN. In December of 1962 she married Kenneth Jorde. In 1963 they moved to Drayton. While there she worked several jobs in the area. They then moved to Joliette, ND in 1980. Kenneth passed away in 1995. Patricia moved to Grand Forks in 1996. In 2003 she married Melvin Melland. Melvin passed away on January 3, 2022. Patrica has continued to live in Grand Forks.

She enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren. Patricia enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, cooking, baking and gardening.

She is survived by sons, Scott (Denise) Jorde of Drayton, ND, Thomas (Kristin) Jorde of Grand Forks, ND and Kevin of Fargo, ND; 5 grandchildren; brothers, Roger (Sue) Perkerewicz of west Fargo, ND and Gary (Barb) Perkerewicz of Billings, MT; a sister, Bonnie Deitz Weslaco, TX.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; Husbands, Kenneth Jorde and Melvin Melland; a brother, Alvin Perkerewicz and a brother-in-law Gary Deitz.

Family will be having a private service at a later date.
