Patrick "Pat" Donahue, 78, of Grand Forks, ND and formerly of Fargo, ND passed away Thursday, July 15, 2021, at his home in Grand Forks.

Patrick Charles Donahue was born on March 15, 1943, in Fargo, ND the son of Charles and Lucille (Dwyer) Donahue.  He was raised in Fargo and graduated from Shanley High School in 1961.  He went on to attend North Dakota State University and graduated with an Associate of Arts degree.  Pat married Dianna Allen on April 23, 1966, in St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Fargo.  Pat and Dianna resided in Fargo until moving to Grand Forks in 1974.  Pat was employed as a Service Manager with Johnson Controls for 38 years.  He retired on March 31, 2006.

Pat was devoted to his Catholic faith and was a longtime and active member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Grand Forks. For many years, he served as an acolyte for funerals liturgies and distributed Communion to the sick and home bound.  He volunteered at the Grand Forks Senior Citizen Center; enjoyed playing golf and hunting prairie dogs.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dianna; a son, Shawn (Michelle) Donahue; daughters, Michalle Radke and Theresa (Richard) Corbit; brothers, Michael (Judy) Donahue, Charles (Eileen) Donahue, John (Patrice) Donahue, Steven (Judy) Donahue, Monsignor Brian Donahue and Kevin (Karen) Donahue; sisters, Colleen (William) Curtis, Deborah (Mark) Rasmussen and Mary (Alex) Saharieff; grandchildren, Brent (Krystal), Shane, Cole, Taylor, Kamie and Rachel; great-grandchildren, Zoey and Quinn.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Brianna Corbit.

Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2021, in St. Michael's Catholic Church, Grand Forks, ND.
Visitation: 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday with a 6:40 p.m. rosary service and 7:00 p.m. vigil service in the Historic Norman Funeral Home Chapel.  Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the liturgy in the church on Wednesday.
Burial: Calvary South Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
