Peggy B. Pruett, 81, of Grand Forks, ND passed away Sunday, April 17, 2022, in Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.

Peggy Bernice Fischer was born on August 6, 1940, in Strasburg, ND the daughter of Joseph and Emma (Khal) Fischer.  Peggy graduated from Minot High School in 1959.  Following her graduation, she moved to Grand Forks and attended Aaker's Business College.  She was employed in Grand Forks as a Dental Hygienist.  Peggy married Ronald L. Pruett in May 20, 1961 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Grand Forks.  Peggy and Ronald continued to reside in Grand Forks raising their children, Gregory, Cheryl and Ronald, Jr.  For many years, Peggy was employed with Crystal Sugar Company in East Grand Forks, MN.  Ronald preceded her in death on November 8, 2021.

Peggy was an excellent cook and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, fishing at Lake of the Woods in Minnesota and visiting with her friends.  Most of all, she loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was a loving wife, mother and devoted grandmother.  She was a longtime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Grand Forks.

Peggy is survived by her children, Greg (Lori) Pruett, Ronald (Tina) Pruett and Cheryl (Derek) Ferraro, all of Grand Forks, ND; a brother, Jerome (Joanne) Fischer; grandchildren, Melissa (Dan) Galle, Shawn Ferraro, Logan Pruett, Morgan Pruett, Ashley (Chris) Garceau and Ronnie Pruett III; great-grandchildren, Jack Galle and Carly Galle and the friend who introduced them, Mike O'Connell.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronald; brothers, Eusebius, Adam, Lawrence "Buddy" and Harold and a sister, Regina Lauinger.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family .

Memorial Mass: 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2022, in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Grand Forks, ND.
Family Greeting: One hour prior to the liturgy in the church on Friday.
Interment: At a later date, in Resurrection Cemetery, East Grand Forks, MN.
