Richard R. Molsbarger, 67, of Grand Forks, ND passed away on July 10, 2024, in Grand Forks, ND.

Richard was born in Roseau, MN, the 7th of 10 children to Fred Franklin Molsbarger and Margaret Ellen Adams. Richard was raised on the family farm where he loved running through the woods barefoot. All that running paid off dearly when he made it all the way to Grand Forks N.D. where he met the love of his life, Robin Rae Eley. They married in 1981, raising 5 children in a loving home. A home whose doors were also open to most anyone that had fallen on hard times, offering what they could to those in need.

Richard worked for Kenwood Decorators as a painter for 20 years, taking great pride in his work. He wielded his sprayer like the rifleman, with precision and purpose. His brush was as fast as the Duke's pistol itself, emptying one gallon paint cans like they were spent rounds of ammo. He later worked for over a decade at LM Glass Fiber only to retire home to take loving care of his wife Robin.

Richard was an avid fan of professional wrestling, western movies, and his beloved Vikings. A cold beer on any given Sunday was standard for many years. He also loved hunting, fishing, playing cards, or shaking dice. Richard really enjoyed family outings and seeing everyone together. Always there with a witty punchline or one liner to get people to laugh. Someone you didn't want to anger, as he fiercely protected his family, but was a giant teddy bear underneath it all. He was loyally loved by many and will be greatly missed by dozens of family members and countless friends and folks whose lives he come in contact with.

He is preceded in death by his 4 sisters Ramona, Rosita, Rebecca, Roberta; nephews Michael and Shannon; Grandson Jace; and his beloved pet snake Boots.

Richard is survived by his wife of 42 years Robin; his children Corey Molsbarger (Pamela), Crystal (Kurt) Myers, Curtis Molsbarger (Tamara), Cricket (Eddy) Van Winkle, Caylee Molsbarger (Curtis); numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews, brothers Ronald (Gwen), Ray (Veronica), Roger (Adelina), Russell, and sister Rochelle.

Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2024, in the Norman Funeral Home Chapel.
Family Greeting: One hour prior to the service in the funeral home on Saturday.
