RICK RAY FAYETTE

Rick R. Fayette , 64, of Thompson, ND passed away Thursday, March 31, 2022.

Rick was born on June 15, 1957, in Grand Forks, ND the son of John and Geraldine (Odegard) Fayette.  He attended school in Grand Forks.  Rick was united in marriage to Kathy Paulson on July 3, 1976.  Rick was employed in the area as a heavy equipment operator for 45 years, working for different excavating companies.  If you asked him what he did he would say, "I dig holes and fill it back in."

After his family, Rick's pride and joy was his shop.  He would help fix anything for anyone.  Rick's shop was a great place for tinkering and taking a nap.  He enjoyed deer season.  He didn't have to travel very far and it was close to freeze up.  Family was everything to Rick.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy: his sons, Nick, and Casey (fiancé Jen); grandchildren, Dylan, Mickayla, Destiny, Faith and Hope; siblings, Cliff (Mae) Pine, Linda (Steve) Sulland, Charlotte (Tom) Gregerson, Charlie (Mavis) Fayette, Mark (Diane) Fayette; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws; and several aunts and uncles.

Funeral Liturgy: Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in Holy Family Catholic Church in Grand Forks.

Visitation: one hour before serviced time at the Church.
