Rick A. Fladeland, 60, of Elbow Lake, MN and formerly of Grand Forks, ND passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022, in Elbow Lake.

Rick Allen Fladeland was born on August 27, 1961, in Grand Forks, ND the son of Harvey and Mary (Davidson) Fladeland.  He was raised in the Grand Forks area and graduated from Central Valley High School in Reynolds, ND. He was employed as a custodian with the University of North Dakota.   Later, he moved to Phoenix, AZ and was employed as a graphic designer.  During this time, he created a world series banner.

For many years, he enjoyed drawing, painting, sitting in the sun and getting a good tan.  Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his children, and grandchildren. They lit up his life and brought his awesome smile.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Fladeland, Grand Forks, ND; a daughter, Kristal Fladeland, Grand Forks, ND and a son, Ricky Fladeland, Minot, ND; grandchildren, Bryce, Brayden, Brooklyn, Brenna, Brody, Bria, Brekkyn and Paisley; his siblings, Robby Rew (Presy Nova), Renee Rew and Roxanne Rew; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey Fladeland; a brother, Randy Fladeland; his grandmother, Margaret Fladeland and a nephew, Daniel Rew.

Memorial Service: Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Norman Funeral Home in Grand Forks.
Visitation: One hour before service time in the funeral home.
Interment: Americus Cemetery, Reynolds, North Dakota.
