Rita E. Stoner, 83, of Grand Forks, ND and formerly of Glendive, MT passed away Sunday, December 10, 2023, in Valley Senior Living on Columbia in Grand Forks.

Rita Emma Feigitsch was born on February 8, 1940, in Hebron, ND the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth (Berger) Feigitsch.  Rita met and later married John "Barney" Stoner in December of 1957 in Glendive.  Rita had three daughters Sandra, Sherry, and Susan.  Rita was employed as a waitress at the Derrick and Gust Hauf in Glendive until her retirement.   She was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Grand Forks.  She enjoyed playing Bingo, gardening, shopping, and crafts.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Rita is survived by her children, Sandra (Lee) Sheafor and Susan (Craig) Pfau; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Ann and Betty; and a brother, Frank..

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Barney; a daughter, Sherry Dschaak; brothers, Giles, Paul, and Jacob Feigitsch.

Memorial Service and Celebration of Life :  Will be held at a later date in Glendive, MT.
Interment: Dawson County Cemetery, Glendive, MT.
