Robert "Bob" Macleod , 77, of Grand Forks, ND passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.

Robert Malcolm MacLeod was born in Grafton, ND on July 25, 1942, the oldest son of Robert and Isabel (Hoesley) MacLeod. He grew up in Grand Forks and attended Michael's Elementary School and graduated from St. James High School in 1960. Bob met his future wife, Janice Larson in high school and they were married at Holy Family Catholic Church on September 12, 1964. For 43 years, Bob managed the Westward Ho Motel in Grand Forks. After retiring from the "Ho", he worked for Sterling Carpet One and Carquest.

His children and grandchildren were the light of his life. Bob and Janice looked forward to their yearly trip to Ixtapa, Mexico. He took great joy in following the grandchildren's sporting events. Bob loved all sports but was die-hard New York Yankee's and Green Bay Packer fan. His quick wit, sense of humor and one-liners were his signature. To know him was to love him.

Bob is survived by his wife of 55 years, Janice; a son, Jay (Amanda) MacLeod, Fargo, ND; a daughter, Allison (Brent) Passa, Grand Forks, ND; grandchildren, Brandon and Brooke Macleod, Sydney Passa and Madison Green; sisters, Mary (Dennis) Crews, East Grand Forks, MN, Patty French, Grand Forks, ND; brothers, Denis (Mary) MacLeod, Fargo, ND; Fred (Sue) Macleod, Gresham, OR; 9 nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Annie.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Don and brother-in-law, Ron French.

Memorial Mass: 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Grand Forks, ND.
Family Greeting: One hour prior to the liturgy in the church on Wednesday.
Interment: At a later date.
