Rosalie A. Schumacher , 92, Grand Forks, ND, formerly of Reynolds, ND, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2026 at Valley Senior Living in Grand Forks, ND.

Rosalie A. Schreiner was born on September 5, 1933, in Hillsboro, ND, the daughter of Albert P. and Veronica J. (Adam) Schreiner. She attended school in rural Reynolds and graduated from Reynolds High School. Following high school, she began her working career at First National Bank in Grand Forks.

On January 30, 1957, Rosalie married Lyle P. Schumacher at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Reynolds. They lived on the family farm in Reynolds until they moved to Grand Forks in 1987. After moving to Grand Forks, Rosalie worked at Beary Best Bakery with her lifelong family friends the Hastings and Karpenkos. Following the bakery's closure, she worked at Hugo's sampling products and later in the produce department until her retirement. Rosalie moved to Valley Senior Living in July 2021 and resided there until her death.

Rosalie enjoyed cooking, baking, and sewing holiday dresses for her granddaughters. She was a member of Reynolds Rescue, and a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help and Holy Family in Grand Forks. Above all, she cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: Tim (Nancy) Schumacher, Thompson, ND and their children Brian (Jennifer) Schumacher with children Collins, Griffin, and Harry; Scott (Elizabeth) Schumacher with daughters Natalie, Charlotte, Clara, and Molli; and Laura (Ricky) Morgan, with sons Oliver, Everett, Edison, and Jack. Debra (Jeffrey) Lazur, Reynolds, ND and their daughters, Bethany (Jon) Rentz and Cassandra (Ryan) Peterson with children Beckett and Amelia. Peter (Stacy) Schumacher, Reynolds, ND and their children, Jason (Alicia) Schumacher with children Eli, Emma, and Lyla; and Nicki (Tyler) Landen with children Tatum and Rosie. She is also survived by her brother, Lloyd (Jean) Schreiner of Grand Forks, sister-in-law Shirley Schreiner of Reynolds, brother-in-law Robert (Liz) Schumacher of Reynolds, and many nieces and nephews.

Rosalie was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle, a great-granddaughter, Erin Marie, daughter of Brian & Jennifer, her parents, her brother Eugene Schreiner, in-laws Merle and Joyce Schumacher, and Charlie and Marie Schumacher.

Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2026, in Holy Family Catholic Church in Grand Forks, ND.
Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday, January 26, 2026, with a 4:30 p.m. Recitation of the Rosary and 6:00 p.m. Vigil Service in Holy Family Catholic Church.  Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the liturgy in the church on Tuesday.
Burial: In the spring of 2026, in Calvary Cemetery, Reynolds, ND.
