Rosemary Steffen , 71, of East Grand Forks, MN and formerly of Grand Forks, ND passed away Tuesday, April 7th, 2026 at Good Samaritan Society - Heritage Grove, Pines Assisted Living, East Grand Forks, MN.

Rosemary was born May 25, 1954 in Crookston, MN the daughter of Charles and Lorraine (Leguee) Steffen. She was raised in Crookston, attended high school and moved to Grand Forks. In June of 1971 she married Ruben Obregon. Following their marriage they raised two children, Melissa "Missy" Apuzzo (Anthony), Greenwood Lake, NY and Jason Obregon, Grand Forks, ND.

Rose worked retail sales for most of her career. She started at Kmart, dedicating over 10 years there before moving over to Target. From there she began her management and merchandising career. Moving all over the U.S. helping stores like Christopher and Banks and Anthony's, ending at Crown Trophy in Fargo, ND. Rose loved to travel, find new adventures and make crafts. She was a skilled novice artist.
She loved her large family but loved her grandchildren Analise, Anthony Jason (AJ) and Kamber most.

Being one of sixteen children, she is survived by many nieces, nephews and many great nieces & great nephews however is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, a sister & a nephew.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Bridge Builders Endowment Fund, St. Michael's Catholic Church, 418 N. 6th Street, Grand Forks, ND.

Her legacy of love & compassion will continue to inspire those who knew her. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will remain forever in our hearts.

Memorial Liturgy: 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 17, 2026 in the Norman Funeral Home chapel, Grand Forks, ND.
Visitation: 1 hour prior to the service in the funeral home on Friday.
Interment: Calvary North Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
