Roy A. Alldread, 66, of Grand Forks, ND passed away, peacefully in his sleep, Monday, October 28, 2019 at his home in Grand Forks. He had been dealing with cancer and other health issues so we believe God decided to take him before things got worse and he wouldn't have to suffer unduly.

Roy Allen Alldread was born on February 20, 1953 in Grenada, MS the son of Joseph and Sarah (Brown) Alldread. For the most part of his life he lived various cities in Illinois. After graduating from Bradley Bourbonnais Community High School in 1971, Roy enlisted in the United States Air Force. He proudly served his county for 20 years and retired in 1991. During his time in the Air Force, he was stationed in Ohio, Indiana, Hawaii, Okinawa and Grand Forks, where he retired. He was also employed for 15 years with CF Industries in Grand Forks, retiring in February 2019.

Roy's first marriage blessed him with 3 children, Robert (Laurie), Nicole (Steve) Rouen and Jeffrey; 3 grandchildren, David Rouen, Melissa Alldread and Dylan Alldread Skjold.

On September 30, 2000, Roy was united in marriage to Eileen Taylor. Roy had a big heart and he treated Eileen's children, Joshua and Elizabeth as though they were his own and the same with Elizabeth's daughters, Alexandria, Ciara and Ava.

Roy always said he knew he wasn't perfect and made mistakes in his life, but he tried to make up for them as he got older. This comment on his Facebook page pretty well sums things up. "Roy was an awesome guy. Full of advice, humor and serious when he needed too." All those things will be missed along with his big heart and the love he was always happy to give.

Roy is survived by his wife, Eileen, children and grandchildren; a sister, Margie (Clarence) Kinkin; brothers, Michael (Laurie) Alldread, Timothy (Rhonda) Alldread; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by parents; a sister, Gaynell Burns; infant siblings, Ronnie and Trudy Alldread; step-children, Joshua Wilson and Elizabeth Wilson-Andrews.
