Ruth Elaine Humble , age 93 of Grand Forks, Passed away on August 30, 2021 Valley Senior Living on Columbia in Grand Forks.

Ruth Elaine Humble, daughter of Amos and Nancy (Sandberg) Jerome, was born on May 10, 1928 in Pembina, ND. She was reared and educated in the area. After her education she moved to Grand Forks and began working various jobs. Ruth was married to Elroy "Bud" Humble on July 20, 1946 in Grand Forks. After their marriage they raised 9 children, when the children were older, she began working at the Grand Forks Country Club. Later she worked at Freddie Fudge in Grand Forks. Ruth for the Bridgeman Company in their food sampling program that would serve local grocery stores. Bud passed away on January 22, 2001.  She has continued to make Grand Forks her home.

She liked to play cards, listen to music, dance, play bingo, shopping, traveling to the casino and cooking for her family and friends. Ruth's special quality was that she had a kind heart and never said a bad word about anyone.

She is survived by, Susan Humble (daughter in law) Mike (Cindy) Humble, Bob (Barb) Humble, Jerry, (Mardell) Humble, Mark (Jane) Humble, Dennis (Cindy) Humble, Michelle (David Crowe) Crowe, Brad (Tami) Humble, and David (Sheila) Humble; 31 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Doris (Don) Swanson and Dorothy (Walter) Kalka

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bud; a son, Larry; brothers, Leonard Jerome, Lavern Jerome and Merle "Hona" Jerome; a sister, Eleanor Tucker; grandchildren, Casey Trutnau and Jesse Ridl, and a great-grandchild Kamdyn Steenerson

Mass of the Christian Burial : Friday, September 3, 2021 at at 10:00 a.m. in St. Michael's Catholic in Grand Forks, ND

Visitation; will be one hour before service time at the church

Burial: burial will be at Memorial Park South following the service at the church.
