SIDNEY WOOLERY

On September 25th, 2022 Sidney Ashe Hughes Woolery passed away at the age of 31.

She was born to Juliana Green and Stewart Hughes on April 2 ^nd , 1991 in Fremont California.  She was someone who lived richly; surrounded by quality friends, family, pets, and always the beauty of nature that she was deeply attuned to. She loved the smell of rain and was charged by the life force of the earth. She was highly creative- with an eye for beauty that can be seen in her art, photography, home, garden, and personal style. A self-trained chef, the food she prepared always nourished the soul. She had a gift for gathering people together for dinner parties, for camping trips and for dancing, for games, trips to the ocean, and also for simple things like a good conversation or sitting down for a scary movie.

Together, she and her husband Matt traveled the world, exploring all that it had to offer, often from a tent. She is easily remembered as a memory-maker. Sidney was happiest surrounded by friends, laughter, the music she loved, and her pets. Her life was well lived. We will remember her in the smell of the rain, the thundering of clouds, the sensation of a steaming bowl of homemade soup, and the comfort of home.

Sidney is survived by her mother Juliana Green, her fathers, Marcus Carlow and R. Stewart Hughes, her husband Matthew, brothers Lucas Carlow and Stewart Hughes, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and her beloved pets Scully, Mulder, and Loki.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made in Sidney's name to the Morrison County Humane Society (River), the Santa Barbara County Humane (Scully & Mulder), or Hull's Haven Border Collie Rescue (Loki).

We will celebrate her life on Saturday October 1 ^st at Turtle River State Park, ND at 1:00 pm.  Additional remembrances will take place in New York and California at a later date.
