Susan Kay Opp, 60, of Grandin, ND died on Friday, February 16, 2024, at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND. She was surrounded by her children, and many friends.  She will be greatly missed.

Susan "Sue", or "Suzie Q" Jirousek was born on March 22, 1963, in Mauston, WI the daughter of George and Mary Lynn (Demaske) Jirousek. She attended Mauston High School, graduating in 1981. She was married twice and had 3 children who she loved very much. She attended Northwest Technical College and graduated as a medical secretary. She also attended Rasmussen University studying criminal justice, and later became a Peer Support Specialist.

Sue had many varied special interests and hobbies. She enjoyed riding motorcycles, and horses, and collecting Betty Boop and Harley Davidson memorabilia.  She was a fabulous cook and enjoyed making big meals to share with friends and family. She was an animal lover and rescued many dogs and cats throughout her life. Sue loved to visit her grandbabies, and many friends, and was quick to help loved ones anytime they needed it. Sue touched many lives, and her legacy will be remembered.

Sue is survived by her significant other, John Zajac, Grandin, ND; three children, Sarah (Adrian) Salender, Manvel, ND, Brittany (Nicolas) Opp, Andover, MN, and Fritz Opp, Grand Forks, ND; grandchildren, Jake, Roman, Layla, and Bexlee; a great-grandchild, Lola; brothers, Tim Jirousek, Brian (Danielle) Jirousek, Mike (Michelle) Jirousek; her parents and many nieces and nephews.
