Suzanne Mary Jakeman, 63, of Grand Forks, ND passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at her home in Grand Forks.

Suzanne was born in England and was the youngest of 7 children.  She had a thirst for adventure, moving to Germany by herself at just 16 years of age.  She eventually made her way to America when she was 19, where she lived until her passing.  She was a loving, caring mother and wonderful "Nana".  She had an infectious personality and wicked sense of humor.  People were drawn to her and friends quickly became family.  She had a successful career as a real estate agent in Colorado and eventually relocated to Grand Forks to be closer to her family.  She was always proud of her English roots and often shared stories about her country and how she missed it.  She converted many individuals to drinking hot tea the British way with milk and sugar.  She was an accomplished equestrian, an animal lover and advocate for fostering, especially senior animals.  Her door and heart were always open and she loved sharing and hearing stories with a nice hot cup of tea and some biscuits.

She leaves behind 2 daughters, Bianca Jakeman Holland, Enid, OK and Tiffany Messick, Lonsdale, MN and her grandsons, Jake and John Holland, both of Enid, OK.  Although her time with her grandbabies was short, they will grow up with wonderful stories and memories passed down from family and will know what a wonderful woman their Nana was and how much she cherished them.  Suzanne is at peace in HIS arms now.  Her family mourns her passing but is grateful knowing that she is safe, free from pain and they will see her again and hold her in their arms once more.

This isn't goodbye, it is we will see each other again one day when we join you in Heaven.  We love you forever and always and rest easier knowing you are watching over us.

No Services: will be held at this time.  It was Suzanne's wishes to have her ashes spread in England when her time came.  A service will be held when her family brings her home and lays her to rest.
