Theresa Michele Adams (Coons), known as Terry to her family, age 60 of Grand Forks, ND, died on Monday February 16, 2026 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.

She was born on November 5th, 1965.  Theresa loved to color and make pictures for herself and others.  Her love of art was special to her.  She spent most of her life in North Dakota where she went to school in Donnybrook.

Theresa has had a long life in the short time she was with us.  She spent time moving around the state of North Dakota and Minnesota for a time, before finally settling in Grand Forks.  She made impacts wherever she lived and it was apparent with the friends and people around her talking about her.

She loved playing bingo, coloring, journaling, movies and talking about her four children with others.  She loved tacos and sour cream and chive potato chips.  Her infectious love for trying to make herself better was always there.  It was why so many were able to fall in love with her presence.

She is survived by her brothers David, Gary, sisters Bonny, Emma (Michael) Franklin, Tracie and Holley.  Also survived by her four children.  Jerilynd, Shane, Michael and Jacob.  Along with nieces, nephews and granddaughters Mikayla and Madison, her ex-husband John L. Adams, Jr and loving friends, family and her dear cat Sparky.

She was preceded in death by her mother Mary Johnson (Neronah), her father, brothers John, James, as well as her cat Sassy..

Memorial Services: Friday, February 27, 2026 at 10:00 am in the Norman Funeral Home of Grand Forks, ND.
Visitation: One hour before service time in the funeral home.
Burial: The spring of 2026.
