Thomas "Tom" Bushaw , 66, of Hatton, ND passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025, in Surprise, AZ.,

Thomas Michael Bushaw was born on September 29, 1958, in Grand Forks, ND, the son of Michael J. and Mary Ann (Owens) Bushaw.  He was raised in Grand Forks, graduating from Grand Forks Central High School. Tom was employed with Peavey Elevator in East Grand Forks, MN, for several years before moving to Arizona. Tom did Pest Control for 18 years. He returned to Grand Forks and was employed with American Crystal Sugar and later in the Maintenance Department of Altru Hospital, until his retirement in 2009. Tom was united in marriage to Joanne Carlson on September 24, 2011, in Las Vegas, NV. They lived in Hatton, ND and wintered in Santan Valley, AZ, where his daughter, Marissa Bushaw and granddaughter, Riley Bushaw, reside. During the summers, Tom and Joanne spent 3 years at Gull Lake in Minnesota.

Tom will be remembered for his ability to connect with people; as well as his big heart, sense of humor, being a natural entertainer, his love for hunting and fishing with his brothers, and his passion for riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycles.

He is survived by his wife, Joanne, and her 16 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who all loved "Papa T"; his daughter, Marissa Bushaw and his granddaughter, Riley Bushaw, of Queen Creek, AZ; his stepchildren, Lisa (Ken) Lamberson with children and grandchildren of Hallock, MN and Loni (Eunice) Carlson with children and grandchildren of Garrison, ND; his aunt, Jane Gunther of Grand Forks, ND; his siblings, Tim Bushaw of Fargo, ND, Jim (Lori) Bushaw of Grand Forks, ND, Marybeth Kalenze of Grand Forks, ND, Cathy (Tim) Bergstrom of Grand Forks, ND;  as well as many nieces and nephews who all loved their "Uncle Tommy".

He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Mary Ann Bushaw; a niece, Katie Kalenze, and several dear friends.

Funeral Liturgy: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2024, in the Historic Norman Funeral Home Chapel, Grand Forks, ND.
Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 27, 2025, with a 7:00 p.m. vigil service in the Norman Funeral Home, Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the liturgy in the funeral home on Tuesday.
Burial: In the spring, at Calvary North Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
