Vicki Lynn (Timm) Kroetsch , age 70, of Grand Forks, ND, passed away peacefully at home on October 5, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on April 20, 1955, in Thief River Falls, MN, Vicki was the cherished daughter of Frederick "Fritz" Timm and Shirley (Anderson) Timm. She spent her early years on the Timm Family Farm in Rocksbury Township, where she developed a deep appreciation for nature and animals. In 1967, the family moved into town, and Vicki continued her education in Thief River Falls, graduating from Lincoln High School with a strong sense of compassion and purpose.

Following graduation, Vicki pursued her passion for helping others by attending Northland Community & Technical College, where she earned her Licensed Practical Nursing degree. She dedicated over 46 years of her life to working in Dialysis, providing care and comfort to countless patients with unwavering kindness and empathy. She retired in March of 2020, leaving behind a legacy of service and love.

Vicki met the love of her life, Carl Kroetsch, in 1974 and the two were united in marriage on October 22, 1977. Together, they built a beautiful life in Grand Forks, raising three sons—Kristoffer, Aaron, and Philip—who were the center of her world. Vicki's selflessness and nurturing spirit made her a devoted mother and, later, a proud and doting grandmother to her seven grandchildren.

Vicki had a love for capturing life's precious moments through photography. Whether it was a quiet moment with wildlife or a joyful family gathering, she found beauty in the everyday and preserved it with care. Her photos, like her memories, are treasured keepsakes for those she loved.

When she wasn't behind the camera, Vicki found joy in baking, crocheting, and gardening. Her home was always filled with warmth—fresh batches of pumpkin bars, blooming flowers, the laughter of loved ones, and the playful energy of her beloved dogs and all the family dogs who were always welcome. Vicki had a special bond with animals, and her gentle spirit made her a favorite among furry companions. She cherished every moment spent with her family and pets, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

Vicki is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Carl Kroetsch; her sons Kris (Kim) Kroetsch and their children Rory and Zoe, Aaron (Melissa) Kroetsch and their daughter Olivia, and Phil (Susie) Kroetsch and their children Sydnie, Duncan, Louie, and Scarlett.
