Vickie Ann Angen (Stevens), age 74 of Grand Forks, died on Monday, October 2, 2023 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND with her family by her side.

Vickie Angen, a daughter of Lowell and Mary (Rose) Stevens, was born on July 21, 1949 in Grand Forks, ND. She was raised in Grand Forks graduated from St. James High School and attended the State School of Science in Wahpeton where she received an Associates of Arts degree in computer programing in 1970. After graduating from NDSCS she was employed as a computer operator at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. Eventually she was promoted to the lead analyst of the financial aids project for the North Dakota HECN system. After taking time off to raise her three children, she began working as an independent contract programmer and later worked in data processing at Stevens Mattress founded by her father. Her career ended as it began as a programmer/analyst for the Computer Center at the University of North Dakota until her retirement in 2006 due to health conditions.

In 1985 she was married to Rod Angen, her soul mate, in Grand Forks. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and especially her grandchildren and attending their activities. Vickie enjoyed spending time with family at the family lake cabin and taking family vacations. She also enjoyed following UND hockey (fighting Sioux) and the Green Bay Packers (only to tease Rod when they beat the Vikings). When she was younger she enjoyed outdoor activities water skiing, snow skiing, and swimming,

She is survived by her husband Rod Angen; a son Jacob Angen (Erica Lorea); daughters, Jenny Angen and Becky (Dustin) Boman; grandchildren, Britney, Bailey, Gavin, Mila, Brody, Maia, Reed and Aria; a brother, Richard (Ellen) Stevens; sister, Margie Vanyo and several nieces and nephews.

Vickie was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, David Stevens, Jerry Stevens and Lowell Stevens; sisters, Susan Surratt and Jane Pecka.

Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 7, 2023 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Grand Forks, ND.

Visitation: one hour prior to the liturgy in the church on Saturday.

Burial: Calvary North Cemetery Grand Forks, ND.
