William "Butch" McGee, Jr., 63, of Grand Forks, ND and formerly of New Orleans, LA passed away Sunday, January 8, 2023, in Grand Forks.

William Robert McGee, Jr. was born on October 20, 1959, in New Orleans, LA the son of William and Jean (Wilkinson) McGee.  He was raised in New Orleans and during high school he played football. He was employed as a firefighter, police officer, offshore oil rigger and truck driver.  Butch was a wild Cajun boy from the south.  When he was younger, he enjoyed bowling.  Also, he enjoyed camping, fishing and having fun in the outdoors. He was a huge New Orleans Saints fan.

He is survived by his beautiful daughters, Brittany Ann McGee Brown, and Myranda Jean McCraney McGee; sons-in-law, Kayleb McCraney and Lucious Brown; a niece, Natalie Monteleone and her children, Calan Monteleone and Rhett Monteleone, a niece, Angie Hochberger and her son, Kodi Wagner; a sister, Laura Hochberger; grandchildren, Aliyah, Bentley, Karson, Theia, Mia, Karter, Kamden and Emma and a step-grandchild, Jena Brown.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Kimberlee Kay and a brother, Mike McGee.

Memorial Service and Celebration Life: Will be held at a later date in Louisiana.
