William "Bill" P. Reynolds

William "Bill" Patrick Reynolds , 67 of Grand Forks, ND died peacefully Monday, February 7 ^th , 2022 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.

Bill was born to the late George and Kathleen (Fugleseth) Reynolds in Grand Forks, ND on May 25 ^th , 1954.  He was raised in Grand Forks and graduated from Central High School in 1972.  He married his high school sweetheart, Avis Lindemoen.  Bill worked for 42 years at Burlington Northern Railroad as a Switchman/Brakeman and retired as a Yardmaster.

Bill was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman.  Family was most important to Bill, his favorite days were those he spent with his sons and grandchildren.  He took pride in teaching his boys and grandchildren all he knew about hunting, fishing, water skiing, training hunting dogs, and how to grow the best grass in the neighborhood. Bill was his grandchildren's number one fan and was present at many sporting, church, and school events.  He had a special relationship with each one of his grandchildren and was a strong presence in each of their lives. Bill and Avis loved taking drives together to look at wildlife.

Bill made friends everywhere he went.  He was loved by many and enjoyed talking, laughing, and spending time with his friends from Maple Lake, the pheasant farm where he was a hunting guide, the other grandparents he met at his grandchildren's activities, and his lifelong hunting buddies.

Another passion of Bill's was coaching wrestling, first at Valley Jr. High and then the GF youth wrestling Tilt Club. He most treasured the time he spent coaching his two boys during their wrestling careers.

Bill is survived by his wife Avis of 48½ years, son Shane (Andrea), son Damon (Kristina), grandchildren Mason, Caleb, Chase, Daniel (Ashley), Becca, Shane Ryan, two great grandchildren Jeremy and Cody, brother John (Vicki) Reynolds, sister in law Judy Behm, brother in laws Dennis (Karen) Lindemoen and Terry Lindemoen, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother and brothers George and Donald.

Funeral: Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Grand Forks.

Visitation: one hour before service time in the church.
